Global Gandhi Peace Conference

Theme: Global peace through Digital Non-Violence

International Webinar,29-30 Dec 2020

Global Gandhi Peace Conference was initiated by the Khwab Foundation, to remark the day of non-violence which falls on the second of October every year. It has been an immense pleasure for us, for being able to mark the birth anniversary of the great Mahatma Gandhi, together with a large number of youth from different nationalities. Although we were thrilled to meet our young peacebuilders and conduct a grand conference as we did last year, it is very unfortunate that we all have to be locked into our homes and cities due to the global pandemic of COVID-19. We, as young peacebuilders believe that we need to ensure about the safety and well-being of our team as well as our delegates, in order to contribute more for building peace. Therefore, this year, we have decided to move it to a virtual platform.

This year, we have noticed a growth in the amount of violent content being shared through social media. Therefore, the conference will be conducted based on a timely theme, “Global Peace through Digital Non-Violence”. Due to the pandemic, long-term lockdowns, losing jobs, having to depart from our beloved ones, and not having anyone closer to talk or to share their sorrows, are few reasons that caused a depressive condition in human beings which resulted in a way that they chose to behave violently.

Like the previous year, we are happy to accept deserving youth from any part of the world, to participate in this International Webinar. All what you have to do is, to fill out the application on the below link and submit it at your earliest best. If your application is chosen, we will notify you via email.
